Connecting threads is having a contest for someone to design a fabric line for them. The five finalists have been announced. They had originally submitted a focal fabric. They now have to design the coordinating fabrics. The winner will be announced on October 12th. What are your thoughts on the designs chosen? Which do you like best?

I like Happiness the best, then the Wash Day, Jackalopes. The flowers are not to my liking....

I prefer Happiness the most, then the Wash Day. I would have to buy either one of them.

I like laundry day. Add some with larger print of the clothing items and some mottled colors to match

I like Laundry Day and Happiness. The others just don't strike my fancy.

I like the Flourish, then the Happiness. The Wildflowers is too busy for me. The Laundry Day and Jackalopes are cute, but not my taste.

i love happiness the best. but the laundry one is also nice. not to big on the jackalope one though.

I like Flourish, Happiness and Laundry Day

I like Laundry Day best. I see lots of colorful blocks with this fabric as a foal point.

I like happiness, not crazy about others.

Jackalope and Laundry day are the two that strike me as the most original. The others ... as far as I'm concerned they could be *actual* fabrics that are already out there somewhere (no ... I am NOT implying that people copied fabric prints - they just look like I could find them *anywhere*).

While I would have voted for Jackalope and/or Laundry Day as "winners" ... I wouldn't purchase either of them. Not my style. Well ... I could see using some of the Jackalope areas - but not the picture of the Jackalope - just the "stitched" area around them.

Considering the fabrics submitted to choose from I think there were a lot of friends voting for friends. Of the five the only one that doesn't look like all the other fabrics available to buy already out there is the Laundry Day.

Hard to believe these were the finalists, so many others had so much potential-IMO. :)

I think I like Happiness the most. I do like Jackalope and Laundry Day. But, I'm not sure if I would want to use them in an actual quilt. I think Happiness and Flourish would be easiest to incorporate for a variety of quilts.

I like flourish best, but think happiness might make the best all around quilting fabric.

I like "Wildblooms". Its very bright and cheery. Then Washday is perfect.

I voted for Happiness and Laundry Day. Laundry Day reminded me of the 'Fitting In' paper in Cosmo Cricket's Boyfriend line. Pretty sure Moda has printed some of Cosmo's cute designs on fabrics. So for me, LD isn't totally unique - and who said it was? - but still a winner of a design for me.

I like Happiness then Wash Day. I don't care for the other three.

Happiness, Winblooms and Laundry Day. Happiness is definitely my favourite by a long shot

Happiness but each is very special in its own way.

Laundry Day and Flourish are my favorites. Happiness is 3rd for me and I really don't care for the other 2 at all.
