That explains why they can charge a lot less for their fabrics, lower shipping costs because they don't use the mills in China and the printing plants in Korea and no distributor profit. So here's a question; a) There are rumors that CT is lowering prices. b) There is no longer a statement on their website that their stuff is made in North America. Where does that leave us? :?: :?: :?: |
Tell me about the Lazy Daises kit, is there a website? I love kits. I don't have to think as hard.

Here's a juicy CT tidbit....I was recently talking to a customer service person and she told me that CT is coming out with a line of batiks! She wasn't sure when, but "by next spring" was what she guessed. As a quilter who doesn't like a lot of their traditional-looking fabrics----but who's bought books and patterns galore---I can't wait for inexpensive batiks! :)

I just love connecting threads and keepsake quilting.

How do you get one of these catologs? I'd love to get one.

I also am a Connecting Threads fan.
I love their thread! I had gotten it because several people on the longarm/midarm quilting groups recommended it for their machines and since I was getting a Bailey, I got some. I use it for piecing now and won't touch anything else. I love their thread! I'm looking forward to when they put it on sale again as I'll be buying more color sets! I do like their fabrics too - although most of it is a bit too old timey for my tastes. I bought a kit or two when they had that big clearance sale last spring or fall and have still yet to open them and try them out... one of these days.... |
Yarn of Fabric ... I agree that many/most of Connecting Threads fabrics seem like 30's fabrics but I do like their Red/Black/White collection.
But as I probably mentioned before, if just using for backing, the web special sale fabric prices are great at only $2.96yd. Or I try to still with the tone on tones to have in my stash. Just can't beat that price. And I'm happy with the quality... so far what I've gotten has had a nice 'hand' to it. warm quilt hugs, sue in CA |
