I just got my newest CT cat. Wow. They now have solids, blenders, and batiks. The blenders they call mirage. Great price too. $3.96 for Bl. and Mirage, and $5.96 for batiks. Large selection of colors too.

Grama Lehr 08-17-2010 01:09 PM

Whoo-hoo! I just received mine too! Lots of cool stuff.

quiltsRfun 08-17-2010 01:18 PM

Haven't got Connecting Threads yet but I got KeepSake Quilting. Call me crazy but I save them to thumb through even though I can go online and see the same thing.

tooMuchFabric 08-17-2010 01:33 PM

I keep them to look at just like quilting books. I even get an inspiration now and them of something I want to make, or something to incorporate into a next quiltl, whether or not I order anything from the catalog.

littlehud 08-17-2010 01:48 PM

I drooled over mine when it came. I want to order more from them.

memathomas 08-17-2010 03:11 PM

I felt so left out after I read this thread. I don't get the Connecting Thread catalog-----but I will now. I just signed up for it. I did get the KeepSake Quilting Catalog. I'm calling it my wish book. I "wish" I could get everything in it.

Did you check your order to make sure you had ordered 4 yards and were charged for 4 yards? If so, then they may have made a mistake in the cutting. Measurements are the same for everyone. Common fabric width is 42". One yard is 36". You can measure how much was cut by measuring from one cut to the other cut. (Width would be measured selvedge to selvedge.) If you ordered 4 yards and got less than 4 yards, you should contact their customer service department.

Some companies sell by the 1/2-yard, in which case I need to be very careful to double-check how much I am ordering. However, I just went to the Connecting Threads website and they sell by the yard.

memathomas 08-17-2010 03:33 PM

this has happened before and i went to their site to look at my order history and i couldn't find it

i will be more careful in the future

I just got the Keepsake Quilting magazine also.....drool, drool. I have to hold myself back. I have so many UFO's and WIP's and specific fabric for projects. Does any one else have the problem of keep on buying when there is still projects to be done? It drives me crazy! As I drool once again over the Bali Pops page....

I have signed up for Keepsake Quilting catalog so many times and have never received one. I would love to get one, the ladis in my quilt group get them all the time. :(
Maybe Connecting threads will send me one. I'll go sign up for theirs.

I think I'm addicted to buying fabric...anything I like. I buy with no specific project in mind. A quilting friend of mine buys fab. she fancies. She has so much fabric she forgets, or can't find, a specific one once she gets a project in her head. She has a utility-outdoor building ordered so she can get out of the tiny sewing room she's been working out of. Her husband and she will get this all together to make it her quilter's cave. They have it all designed. How neat is that?

Yes, me too! I keep one in my purse, to look through when away from home and just sitting and waiting.

Yarn or Fabric 08-17-2010 04:06 PM

I had to hide the CT catalog from myself. I looked through it, drooled... drooled some more... I really am loving the new blender materials. I am going to bring it to my sewing group on Saturday and see if we can get an order started up. I love their thread. It's all I use now.

Jingle 08-17-2010 04:12 PM

Yes, I got my Connecting Threads catalog today and I always buy fabric when I have tons already. It is such a serious problem to have and I'm not able to fix it.

Did you check you email inbox? Most companies will email you a copy of your order. Unless you are much better at cleaning out your inbox than I am, it will still be in there. Just do a search on connecting and you should find it. (Also check junk mail.)

Katia 08-17-2010 05:05 PM

I got my Connecting threads Catalog the other day and OMG, I want one of each! I have some many things planned and bought for already, but it is so tempting.

mamaw 08-17-2010 05:07 PM

I was really impressed with this one, actually like a few of the kits they are offering this time.

PS Stitcher 08-17-2010 09:17 PM

I have ordered from them several times and I really like their fabric and their thread! It is great! I have only had a chance to go through the catalog that I received today once so far......not my usual 10-12! LOL!

I found a lot in the Keepsake Quilting cattie that I liked too! Oh, decisions decisions!!! :?

MegsAnn 08-18-2010 04:15 AM

Oooh didn't know this was available. I'm gonna go sign up to get it now. Thanks guys!

I do the exact same thing! Those quilt catalogs are great reference material!

JHolm 08-19-2010 01:42 AM

You should contact customer service. They will correct it for you, they are really good about that sort of thing. Check your invoice to make sure you paid for 4 yards though. Yes they do measure the same as everybody else, your order just got messed up.

Really excited about the new fabrics in the CT catalogue. I think someone is getting really smart in carrying fabrics we all need at such a good price. (blenders, etc.)

Got my keepsake catalog yesterday. All the prettystuff! I already have soooooo many half done projects! But that probably won't deter me from buying more.

BellaBoo 08-19-2010 06:43 AM

I love their shipping boxes. They are just the right size to use for Christmas present boxes or mailings. I have MANY of them saved.

catrancher 08-19-2010 07:14 AM

Hm. Guess I'll have to dig mine out of the recycling bin.

jrider 08-19-2010 07:33 AM

How can I get a Connecting Threads Catalog? I am a new quilter and am open to anything that involves quilting. THANKS

BellaBoo 08-19-2010 07:40 AM

You fill out a form on their website to receive the catalog.

I got both catalog's. And I won't call you crazy because I have saved a Keepsake catalog for over 20 years. Even if you can't order from it, it still gives lots of ideas.

Tweety2911 08-19-2010 11:22 AM

I'm with you QuiltsRfun. Thumbing thru them when I am looking to make a new quilt and am not sure of which color scheme, or pattern I want to work on or just because I need a quilt fix, lol.

You need to check out Quilt in a day.com. They have "Fabric Frenzie" for about $3.75 per yard and alot of selections. I ordered a bunch just today for a Bargellow quilt pattern. What a bargain. Sophie

I've tried repeatedly to order a catalog, but the link must be broken. I fill out the form and click on the button but absolutely NOTHING happens. Too bad, I'd just love to see one.

memathomas 08-19-2010 08:41 PM

shop on line and see what they have i will let them know it's broken.
