I use it all the time and find it's great thread.

I have used Connecting Thread fro a long time and like it very much.
I have never gotten any with a label of color on the spool. Also I have trouble opening a new spool.

The fabric is made in North America, not necessarily in the USA. Someone mentioned this to me a while ago, they think a lot of it is made in Mexico, which is part of North America.

I have not tried the thread from Connecting Threads before, but after reading this post, I will definitely get some. I have ordered lots of things from them before. They have great products, great prices and great delivery times. And they give you free shipping for orders over $50. Good deal! :D

I recently ordered all of their sets when they were on sale. I've used a few and really liked them - no problems. The only thing I don't like is that once you remove the paper, the color isn't marked on the spool anywhere. So I cut the a small piece of the paper that includes the color, and when I'm through using the spool, I roll it the paper and stick it just inside the spool for future reference.

I do not like their thread or fabric. The thread breaks easily and fuzzes, I think, because they make it with a shorter stands in the twist. The prices are good, but that might be a clue. You sorta get what you pay for.

Their thread is great! I switched and am glad I did-I don't have any problems with it.

I use their thread also and I love it. It doesnt break and I use it in my embroidery machine also. Not as shiney as rayon or poly but sometimes that doesnt matter. depends on what I am embroidering .

I love it. I ordered some late last night (midnight), and I received an email this morning at 8:00 a.m. that it had shipped!

I haven't ordered Connecting Threads thread but I have gotten fabric, kits and patterns. I have been very happy with everything! I will be ordering thread if I have any money left after Sew Expo on Saturday. :)

I use it for piecing, quilting, etc. and I love it. Haven't had any problems with this thread. Strongly reccomend it.

I love their thread and have a nice stash of colors. Never had any problems with breakage either. A major perk of this thread is the low lint factor so it's better on your machine.

Love this thread (as well as their fabrics). To open, just scratch the wrapping with a pin. Suz

I put the thread in 2x3 inch plastic bags (usually available in the beading department of hobby stores). Then I label the plastic bag. Works great. When I have a partially used bobbin from a particular color I put the bobbin in with the thread. I LOVE the thread. It is very fine and smooth. I have even done needleturn applique with it and my stitches are as invisible as I can get them with any other thread I have used.

I thought it was rather odd that they were just jumbled up loose in a plastic bag but not having ordered from them before this, I didn't know what to expect.

I have ordered lots of thread from them and never had it loose with no wrapper. I would call them and ask them about it.

garysgal 02-27-2010 12:33 PM

When I order thread from them, I usually buy the sets and they come loose in a plastic bag.
