Anything I have ordered from them has been great and the service is wonderful.

aggie 03-26-2011 07:07 AM

Liked their fabric. Heard batiks weren't such great quality. Thread was awful in my machine. Broke often, and much too linty. Others love the thread.

quilter1943 03-26-2011 07:11 AM

Along with everyone else, yes - great service, wonderful fabrics, fantastic thread. Only thing you have to watch is colors because I've found they aren't always exactly what is printed in the catalog and on their web site- don't order hoping to match something you have because it might not.

jograma 03-26-2011 07:25 AM

I was very pleased with what I ordered from them. No complaints and the service was great.

Janet Espeleta 03-26-2011 07:43 AM

I have purchased some of their batiks & found them to be good quality. Maybe not as good as the higher priced batiks, but certainly better than anything I have ever found at Joanns, Hancocks, or Hobby Lobby!

Kieta 03-26-2011 07:57 AM

i like their fabrics but have found the batiks a bit on the thin side. perhaps it's just the lack of wax some of the other batiks i've worked with seem to still have.

the thread is great for the price.

i've never tried the "seconds" so have no opinion. the stuff in the clearance is priced so low why go to seconds?
i've been happy with the quick delivery & customer service. give them a try. ultimately, it's up to you what you like.

I have ordered quite a lot of fabric from ct. Some is a little courser than others. Some is quite silky just like lqs fabric. If I buy sale fabric for backs or whatever I don't care too much about texture. For other fabric choices I order a charm pack to see what it is like. In general I really like all their products

grammysharon 03-26-2011 10:26 AM

I just received my first order of batiks from Connecting Threads. I was amazed that the "hand" feels just like the fabric I paid 10.95 a yard. I will definately order from them again!

donnalynett 03-26-2011 12:06 PM

No problems for me and the service and shipping is great

Another great site is Missouri Star Quilt, although they are more expensive but beautiful quality and probably the best customer service I have EVER encountered.

WOW Missouri Star Quilt is very close to me. I live in the KC Mo area on the KS side.

Thanks for the tip Karen...

bigdogmom 03-26-2011 01:04 PM

For the price the fabric is good. I've also got some good deals on books from them. I don't think the fabric quality is as good as some better manufactures at quilt shops but I would buy from them again.

DirtyPaw 03-26-2011 01:06 PM

Yea I was curious due to just purchasing Hancock Batiks for 10.99 a yard so when I saw the lower prices the cheap hillbilly in me said, wow save some money and buy more fab for my stash I am building up. With that said I do not want to get something of poor quality and I knew y'all would have the answers.

Thanks for everyones response! Also, thank-goodness for spell checker.

I just bought batiks from them and it's very good quality, much better then HOP who has still not sent the last half of my order.

sueven 03-26-2011 01:28 PM

I just got some batiks this Wed. from them, really good quality. Will order from them again.

newquilter2009 03-26-2011 04:21 PM

I have ordered from them several times and have always been pleased with the service and the quality. I would never hesitate to order from them.

cindit 03-26-2011 05:31 PM

I order from them but I don't think their fabric is quite the quality of the LQS's. Their prices are good though!!

Boslie 03-26-2011 05:32 PM

Just saw some fabric from a kit from Connecting Threads today. Very nice. Good quality material.
I say go for it. If it isn't what you like (I can't imagine not) just send it back.

My experience with CT has been very positive----I am happy with everything I've bought.

llcathey 03-26-2011 05:57 PM

a good place to shop never have had a problem

Alondra 03-26-2011 06:05 PM

I've ordered batiks, solids, prints, and blenders, and I've been perfectly happy with what I've gotten. Hope it works out well for you, too.

LaurieE 03-26-2011 06:15 PM

I've ordered from CT a few times. The items I ordered came very quickly.

But when it comes to the fabric - it's a hit or miss for me. I ordered some fabric and I just didn't like the feel of it. I don't know if it's the dye or the sizing. If I could have felt the fabric first, I would not have gotten it.

Marie R 03-26-2011 09:23 PM

I have ordered from them several times and have always been pleased with the quality of the fabric, price and their shipping time. I have however been surprised by the colors I have received. They are never what they show on the website. They are always much deeper or brighter in color.

Joyce Ann 03-27-2011 11:44 AM

They have great fabrics and thread.

katiebear1 03-27-2011 12:04 PM

Llove their stuff and the batiks are very nice.

trolleystation 03-27-2011 04:54 PM

Yes they are reputable.

frarose 03-27-2011 04:57 PM

I have only ordered name brand fabrics from them and found them to be good plus their turn around is wonderful. You get the fabrics in about 3 days from order time plus the no shipping fee is great.

heberstitcher 03-27-2011 07:12 PM

I ordered 6 yards of Batiks that were on sale for $4.16 yd.
and I was very satisfied with the quality and fast shipping.
I will order from them again. The Batiks were beautiful!!
