So I saw the post on Connecting Threads "seconds" and took a look at their new Batiks. The price is very good compared to my local fabric shop. So, my question to all is, if you ordered from Connecting Threads were you happy with the quality of the Batik or any new material in general?

Thanks in advance for your responses...

I love their fabrics and service:)

MamaBear61 03-25-2011 04:45 AM

Their fabrics are great although I haven't ordered their batiks yet. I have ordered from them several times and their service has also been top notch. It is a great site to order batts from when they have them on sale.

davidwent 03-25-2011 04:50 AM

Yes

Terre 03-25-2011 04:55 AM

of course! have purchased fabrics, kits and notions from them over the last 2 years and have never had any problems with quality or service.

emerald46 03-25-2011 04:55 AM

Very good customer service and I've been pleased with all my orders there.

crashnquilt 03-25-2011 05:01 AM

I just ordered 4 of her kits and am super pleased. Quality is wonderful and there is more than plenty of fabric to finish the kits.

QuiltnNan 03-25-2011 05:13 AM

i love their products and their customer service is very good.

sewmuchmore 03-25-2011 05:41 AM

This goes to show that good C/S will make or break a business. I this site has so many potential buyers.

lisalovesquilting 03-25-2011 05:43 AM

Love CT's thread, batiks, prices, service, everything!

fabric_fancy 03-25-2011 05:54 AM

i'm the odd one out, i don't care for their fabrics/batiks, thread, or customer service.

i find their fabric to be very thin, their cotton thread makes so much lint, and the customer service - for me - wasn't the best either.

i have used the pro thread and its good except the color selection is very limited.

feffertim 03-25-2011 06:01 AM

I think their fabric is wonderful. Also their threads. Great quality

wolfkitty 03-25-2011 06:22 AM

I've had nothing but positive interactions with them. I even had a problem with an order recently, and resolving it was a pleasant experience. Sorry you had problems, fabric fancy.

Candace 03-25-2011 08:12 AM

Their fabric and batiks are not the same quality as Moda, Hoffman etc. but worth the price.

the casual quilter 03-25-2011 09:17 AM

I think the fabrics are great and I also use a lot of the threads they sell.

I love Connecting Threads!!! I ordered online Sunday night and when I came home today the box was waiting for me. Just in time for dreary, rainy weekend fun:) I ordered 5 yards of the swirl batik for backing, 8 spools of thread and 2 more yards of thread for another project. Their fabric is great quality.

sewingsuz 03-25-2011 05:50 PM

I ordered some sale fabric recently and it is very nice.

CarrieAnne 03-25-2011 07:01 PM

I highly recommend CT's customer service! I have only bought the charms in the batik line but, I loved the designs. I wouldn't hesitate ordering batik yardage at all!

Dee Dee 03-26-2011 03:54 AM

I have ordered fabric from them before and was pleased. Great customer service. My opinion is that the quality is not quite comparable with the best, most expensive, of the LQS fabric, but probably compares with the average. Some LQS fabric is soft and rich feeling. CT fabric probably has somewhat less threads. Can't beat it for the price.

jolo 03-26-2011 04:00 AM

Their batiks are lovely the hand is sooooo good. And the price is even better.

quiltease 03-26-2011 04:01 AM

Ordered batiks twice from them and find although the feel is thinner than what I usually buy, the texture is silky. I've never really felt silky batik, it's usually pretty stiff. It worked up well in my projects so no complaints there. It is a bit different in color from what they show, so if you're trying to match some other fabric it may not, even if it's another fabric from them. Was shipped in record time. I'd order again!
bev.

I agree completely. They are a bit thinner than some of the brand name batiks...but they are really soft. I've used them in a quilt along side regular cotton fabrics. In one instance, I used a CT batik right beside a Northcott fabric both running the length and width of the quilt for the borders. You cannot tell by feel that they are any different at all, of course, you'd know its a batik because you can see it...but the feel is soooooo soft.

I recently ordered a bunch of their batiks and she is right - the colours on the website photos are off. I found the real thing to be much more vibrant. Luscious, even. Very pretty.

I've been unimpressed as well.

Scakes 03-26-2011 04:24 AM

I haven't ordered any of their batiks, but have ordered from them in the past. Everything has always been nice and service is good. Check out the free patterns section too. I thought several of them were good and saved em.

drdolly 03-26-2011 04:49 AM

Can't say enough positive things about them. Great place. Have had very good luck in all that I have purchased.

Yooper32 03-26-2011 05:09 AM

Absolutely! Their fabric is great, their thread is wonderful and their shipping is fast. I ordered batik charms to see if they were up to quality and they are great. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered from them.

kathome 03-26-2011 05:21 AM

I've ordered from Connecting Threads several times and have been very happy. The quality is good and customer service wonderful.

Another great site is Missouri Star Quilt, although they are more expensive but beautiful quality and probably the best customer service I have EVER encountered.

quilt3311 03-26-2011 05:22 AM

Yes, I love their batiks. Just started a pineapple quilt using the batiks and black. The fabric is really nice. I also get the essentials threads from them. Use them all the time.

vivoaks 03-26-2011 06:11 AM

I've NEVER heard a bad word about anything that's been purchased from Connecting Threads. My first order was sent in yesterday...

bettysew 03-26-2011 06:11 AM

I've purchased from them many times and have always had a good experience, and good quality.

scgstitcher 03-26-2011 06:11 AM

I have been reading about "seconds" from Connecting Needles and for the life of me I cannot find the listing anywhere on their website. Yes, I have my glasses on! Thanks for help.

debbieoh 03-26-2011 06:19 AM

Their fabric and service I feel is the best around. You will not be disappointed

Click on "Clearance." The first selection on the left is "Fabric Seconds."
