I have some corduroy yardage as well as scraps and I need someone to help me figure out how to use it--preferably in a quilt but other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for your help. BarbO

is the corduroy soft... if so, i'd use it for the back. corduroy is so thick, i'd be hard to get crisp points. of course, if you are just doing larger blocks, that wouldn't matter.

I cut it into squares, 3 colors, and made seat pillows for the kids teachers when they were in school. Each room had a rocking chair for reading to the kids but it was just a hard wooden seat. So they got pillows for Christmas

Can you piece the corduroy in squares or rectangles, so there aren't any sharp points to get lost? Then just line it with flannel, no batting needed, and tie!

I use scraps of corduroy in scrappy blankets.

Purses, tote bags, table mats, throw pillows. Good for many purposes, depending on the color/pattern and weight. Some beautiful corduroys out there. I love corduroy shirts instead of a sweater.

I used yards and yards of donated corduroys for the backs of kids quilts that were going up into the mountains of NC. Run it through the washer several times to soften it up. If it's a nice and heavy you really don't need to add batting, just the corduroy and your quilt top

My grandma used it in a crazy quilt along with velvet.
