Could this work?

I fell for these bright yellow/touch of orange fabrics yesterday, and then found a few more in my stash. I do not know whether these might be too much the same to work in a scrap quilt? I tried out a few solids for maybe small keystones. . .the green isn't as gaudy as it looks -- maybe a green should be more of an apple? Could the blue work? a deep cinnamon?

I am thinking maybe 'stacked coins', or just a jelly roll. . . I have trouble visualizing whether these would just blend into a near-solid. What do you think? Any ideas for a pattern appreciated!

IMHO- not enought contrast. too mushy! I would pick up some other fabric that has the green annd blue in it!!!

I agree with bigsister63 - you need more contrast unless you want the quilt to just be yellow. I do like the yellows you picked.

These are all very compatible for use in the same quilt, but I wouldn't place them next to each other, if that's what you meant.

Love your fabrics...the only way I would use those close together would be in a log cabin with the contrast of another color such as blue or green on the opposite sides.

I think they would look good in a Bargello, one of those that uses several shades of two colors. I made a blue and yellow one...a variation of Surf Song. Let me see if I can find a picture of it. Just in case the idea works for you.

And, looking at your fabrics again, I like them together. Not all quilts have to have large contrast. I have made several quilts that didn't "pop" with contrast.

Agree with both of these members.

Those are some pretty fabrics, but if it were mine I'd add a small print with similar colors to tie it all together. It will be such a happy quilt

Those are beautiful! I'd have fallen for them too and I'm not that big on yellows! I'd go for a bargello I think. Maybe with some lighter yellows as well, down to a creamy type colour? You could add another colour into the mix, but I think it could work with just yellowy tones.
