Wow - I love those clips and never knew there were so many uses for them. Buy them at the Dollar Store, they are a lot cheaper, and are the same. Love them when putting binding on - instead of pinning.

I had resisted because of the price, but did pick up a 10 pack at Michael's when I had a 50% coupon. They are great to use when making bags or anything bulky. Much easier than pins for those types of projects.

I mainly use my silver hair style clips and love them but not too long ago did buy some of the red ones. I found them most useful on my circular placemats and bias binding. Worked like a charm

My favorite use is when I'm working on my hexi GFG quilt. I use them to hold groups of hexi's (6 for each flower) together. And the best is when I use them to hold hexi's together when sewing. Some times I have large sections to sew together and I use one to keep the two sides I'm sewing in place.
I use use them for binding, of course. |
I am a big fan of Clover Wonder Clips, they have a multitude of uses. But beware counterfeit Clover Wonder Clips! I got caught out with a box of 50 from Amazon. Amazon were brilliant and refunded me immediately.
Here's a link from Clover showing what to watch out for. http://clovercatalog.com/wc/wc.pdf |
I use them for all of the sewing related items mentioned but my favorite use for them is to clip bags of frozen corn or peas closed to go back in the freezer. They also work for closing small bags like soda crackers or chips.

Recently purchased at Hancocks Fabrics for half price plus 20% senior discount. Best buy ever. Made a swing canopy from outdoor waterproof fabric with scallops around the edges and could not use pins, these were the greatest, could not have done it without them. they work better than pins just slide off into the bed of my machine and I go on. Product well worth the money and I will certainly get another pack of 50.

Maybe i should use one to clip my Guild name tag to my shirt! Lots of great ideas jere. I love Wonder clips!

When I am ready to sew on a binding, I use the cheap dollar store hair clips. I have a plastic container of about 150 and they hold my binding in place just fine.

My husband "borrowed" a few of mine to use to hold small items when gluing.
