Crayola Washable Markers

Hi there!
I was looking to find out if anyone has used crayola washable markers to mark their quilts and how successful you were. I have used lots of different water soluble markers, but I feel like they run out quickly or the tip tends to fall apart. I saw someone mentioned they used the crayola washables and had success and was wondering if anyone else uses it as their go to marker!

Thanks!

I have used blue, yellow, and green. I've been leery of black and red. The ones I have used worked just fine, but it never hurts to do a test run on a scrap of your fabric.

I've used them and they worked well for me. But the tip did wear down pretty quick. Last quilt I used a Frixion pen and loved it. I went over it with a hair dryer to remove the markings before adding the binding. The quilt will get a washing once the label is on.

Test on every fabric in your quilt. I've come across fabrics that the marks didn't come out of. My favorite marking tool is Blue Line Eraser. It comes out of everything I've tried so far. I love it!

Make sure you follow the washing instructions on the markers. I haven't had any problems with them washing out so far.

I haven't had any problems but I always do a test on all the fabrics first.

yes, do test. i used green on yellow fabric and had to wash that quilt about six times using everything i could think of. Finally the markings went away. Never again.

I've used the crayola markers with good results. A warning though, be sure to remember what color thread you used in the quilt. I used yellow marker on some white fabric. I washed the quilt three times, getting really upset that the yellow marker was not coming out, then realized that the marker had come out, I had used yellow thread on the quilt! Duh!

I use the washable Crayola markers all of the time - love them. I was having trouble with the tips getting mushed and torn even.. until I found the fine tip. These are awesome!! I have not had any problems with them not washing out... BUT I do be sure to wash as soon as I can and I spray with Shout or Spray-n-Wash before I throw them into the washer. http://smile.amazon.com/Crayola-12ct...shable+markers I have found them cheaper than this at other places... they are soo worth it though
