Creme Brulee Quilt Pattern Help Finding - Reposting Request as other threads are gone

Hey All,

I've lost all of my older threads for this very popular Creme Brulee pattern...All of the sites I have gone to
for purchase of this pattern, are sold out...So I am asking again, does anyone know how to get a copy of this pattern....Thanks for your help...

Sandi

Google Creme Brulee Quilt Pattern

Hi. I found several listings for the Creme Brulee Quilt Pattern. http://www.equiltpatterns.com/quiltp...roducts_id=132 Check out this webpage to see if it is the one you want.
If it is, and you make the quilt, please show us when you finish it. It looks like it would make a very pretty quilt.

The pattern that you are looking for is not for sale anywhere that I could find. It was in McCall's Quilts Summer 2009 which seems to be very rare.

Unless you find one at your library or on a site such as eBay, it is simply not out there.

Karen & Sandi: Just curious what the creme burlee block looked like so I logged onto the equilt site. Wow. I am a big fan of stars and is that ever the jack pot. Prices are reasonable too. Thank you both for giving me another great resource.

The one that was posted here a few weeks ago was in beautiful fall colors. As I recall maybe gold, teal, green, brown. It was an outstanding quilt. I was keeping it to get some ideas for colors. But now it is gone from my bookmarks also.

QuiltnNan 11-10-2011 09:53 AM

this is the pattern being discussed http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazi...mer09_ss4.html It is a copyright pattern. I would suggest contacting the magazine for a copy of the pattern. Sharing a copyright pattern on the Quilting Board is not allowed.

I'm not looking for the pattern. I'm looking for the photo of the one made one of the members here. It is not the one in the magazine link above and it is not the one in another link that was for a wedding gift. This thread was called Easy Quilt to Whip Up for A Gift. And the colors were very traditional and fall-ish. I would just like to look at that picture again and see what colors she used. I'm not trying to copy it and I don't know if I will even use that pattern. I just remember her colors were especially pretty and I would like to look at them again to get some ideas.

This is the one we all saw here that started us looking for the pattern:

Hey guys,

I am the one that posted the two Creme Brulee quilts, the fall colors and the "wedding gift" with the shell border and I will try to post it again. I have been on vacation and of course need to figure out how to do a post on this new format - give me a day or two to figure it out. I was at Quilt Market in Houston recently and spoke with someone from the magazine and although my first post was deleted she told me that I did everything correctly by giving the name of the pattern and the magazine credit. They were deluged with calls but happy for the interest. It is a copyrighted pattern and there is a link to get a free copy but I don't have that now. As soon as I can figure out how to post I will redo it.

geeblay627e120 11-10-2011 12:57 PM

Thanks Char. The one with the fall colors is one of my favorites I have seen. The colors were very striking and elegant.

3 Attachment(s)
thank you. I did a repost but when I tried to attach 3 pictures only one showed up so I am going to try again. I am so lame.

char634w 11-10-2011 03:22 PM

I'm learning.... Man I wish I was computer geek!!

KerryK 11-10-2011 03:47 PM

Oh, that just takes my breath away! The colors are gorgeous, and just look at that border! Wow is all I can say! Is this a difficult pattern to make? I hope there is a way to order that pattern. That is one of the prettiest quilts I've ever seen. Just beautiful!

LyndaOH 11-10-2011 03:47 PM

I'd like to know about the quilting you did. Was it hand quilted or machine? Is it a serpentine stitch? It looks great - simple but so appropriate for the quilt. Beautiful!

jljack 11-10-2011 03:55 PM

It's a really basic pattern. Just Rail Fence, with a Half Square Triangle at the end of one of the strips. Then place the blocks so the HSTs for the pinwheel at the corner. Easy!! You can make it any size you want by widening the strips.

geeblay627e120 11-10-2011 04:06 PM

I agree Kerry, it is breathtaking. So glad to get to see the photo again. Thank you Char.

lfstamper 11-10-2011 04:08 PM

Beautiful pattern and colors.

You are so right.....and I may just have to do that...... Being lazy here, really wanted the original pattern.....I've emailed the designer, hopefully, I'll hear something from her......

quiltsillysandi 11-10-2011 04:23 PM

A huge thanks to everyone that has responded to my request.....It's my understanding that Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs is the designer, so I've emailed her....As soon as I get a response, I'll let ya'll know.....Keep your fingers crossed!!

Hi Emma,

You probably know by now that the Creme Brulee pattern on equilt is not the same one....However, if you love stars go to Planted Seed Designs website....They have some gorgeous star quilt patterns/kits...

juliea9967 11-10-2011 05:52 PM

Oh, please let us know if you hear something from her. I want the pattern, too.

I ordered the magazine from Nana's House Quilt Shop when I saw the orginial post/pic of this pattern. I just checked and I do not think they have it anymore. They have the same magazine fall 2009 and winter 2009. But maybe you could call and ask, you never know.

They day after I order the magazine, someone posted a link to a pattern printed from EQ7, and if I remember correctly it might have been a Project Linus pattern-the title on top of the pattern said "Unnamed". There were actually two patterns...one pattern for a one-pinwheel rail fence and another pattern for a two-pinwheel rail fence. I did print them out, and I know I bookmarked the thread, but I can't find the post with the link, so maybe it was deleted.

Like someone already posted - it is an easy pattern. I tend to like patterns, because it is a time-saver and sometimes my brain just does not feel like doing the math for yardage amounts.

I am glad I got the magazine, because it has some other nice quilts in it.

Love that pattern and it looks quite simple

Mary Lou Stefanko 02-01-2012 11:05 AM

I was searching for Creme Brulee as featured in a magazine because I have several versions of it started and came upon this search. Based on the comment that it was from McCall's Summer 2009, I recalled talking to the shop that was selling the kit and the designers sister informed me that they usually were not in Better Homes & Gardens, so I recalled that's where it was. "Better Homes & Gardens" Summer 2009. Mary Lou Stefanko
