Be careful when washing a crown royal quilt....I understand the bags bleed alot.

Thanks LeslieSkelly on the washing/fading tip. I think I'll wash a couple of them and see what they do. If they do fade a lot, I don't want to use white with them.

The quality of the fabric is poor. An easier project would be to embroider the words on better fabric.

Quilticing - Have you made 1 of the quilts and had a bad experience with it? Maybe I should make a lap size quilt or something that wouldn't get a lot of wear and tear. I've been collecting the bags for quite a while and want to do something with them. Just cutting out the logo section and using it for the center of my blocks would work too and not so much of the fabric in the quilt. I'm going to add a few of them to my crazy quilt too. It might have been easier to embroider the logos onto better fabric, but I've got them now and gotta do something with them.

I washed 1 of the crown bags the other night. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not fade very much. Water had just a bit of purplish tint to it. It seemed to hold up good. I'm going to give this a try and see how it goes. I've got a churn dash block with a 4.5" center and that shows off the logo really well. This may be the pattern I use or else a star block of some sort with the 4'5" center. Thanks for all the input everyone.
