That's the same thing my daughter tells me. My reply is they my not but I will and that bothers me.

No, I cannot add new color for the missing parts. It is a turning twenty block.

Is turning twenty block a pattern? I'm new to quilting and this is the first I've heard of it. If it's an easy pattern, I would love to have it.

ThaT's why I try to measure twice or thrice and cut once.

I think I would just piece it if you have enough fabric to cut the inch (adding seam allowance) to the piece you need.

Our grandmothers used to piece pieces all the time or at least the ones I have of my grand mother in law on scrap quilts...other than applique.
Happy sewing.

I would either piece it or frame it and make an extra feature if I was able. That way, it would look intentional. Are you able to swap the colours of the extra bits you put in? that way, it would look very deliberate.

I agree on a turning twenty it won't be that noticable. Quilting will cover it nicely

Piece it...we'll never tell.

Piece it by all means. Have done it several times and you can not tell once the quilt is done.
