Yep, when I first started now I only use safety cutters and nag and nag my pupils about the safe use of them, sorry about your ouch.

Yup! Cut my thumb right down the middle. OUCH!!!!! Had to have stitches. Shortly afterwards, bought the klutz glove.
Now, I am SO careful in my cutting, and I am sure to always close my cutter now.

Yes several times. Now I keep my rotary cutter a long way away with the blade CLOSED.

I did mine a couple months ago. The nerve endings in your fingers are very painful. Put lots of neosporin on it so the bandage doesn't stick to the cut. My sore kept bleeding because the blood would dry and then get peeled off. It took longer to heal.

I feel your pain.

ohh, trying taking up wood carving! That's a whole another set of knives! The difference there's a whole room full of people helping get the bleeding under control or to make you feel stupid1 lol!!

Not yet, should I be looking for a chain mail glove for protection?

the protector gloves almost look like chain mail.

Are you kidding? I'd like to meet someone who uses a rotary cutter and HASN'T cut her finger! Don't feel dumb, just use one of the handy tools, gloves, etc., that will prevent the next one. I even cut my finger bad once by reaching into the pocket of my carrier and had not locked the rotary cutter when I put it in the pocket! My teen-age grandson wnted to "help" me cut one time, and all the warnings were ignored! Bet he will listen next time!
