Was wondering the same about the 29 blocks!

If you have 5 blocks wide by 6 blocks length, you will need 30 blocks. It will make a 70" x 84" finished quilt.

I agree, this board and it's members are amazing! My favorite place each morning with a cup of coffee.

My math agrees with Jennifer23, that the strips would be 14", not 14 1/2".

By my calculations, the block will end up at 13.5 inches. The original block ends up being 9.5 because of the seams, and the two 2.5 in strips end up being 2 inches each. That makes the finished block 13.5.
So the last two strips are cut at 14 inches.

So to answer the original question: Cut 58 10 inch strips and 58 14 inch strips.

Thanks Quilting Chris. It is so easy to get carried away and forget what the original question was.

Roughly all round strip will be 21/2" by 49" based on : 2 stripes at 10" for sides and 2 stripes at 141/2".( I'm confused as to exact size of the centre is it 10" or 101/2" if the later add 1/2" to the 10" sides. ) total, 20" plus 29" equals 49".
