I usually go thru my stash to see if there is something that starts the juices flowing...There is always something that gets me "going"

I love starting new projects. I am always thinking about what I am going to do next while I'm working on the current one. Not enough time in the day for me!

I keep going through patterns (& I do have tons of patterns mostly from the internet) til one reaches out & grabs me. If that doesn't work, I just walk away for the time being.

So how much money do you spend on quilting services?

I am going to be making a train play mat. I have been informed that his parents don't have room for a full sized quilt and they don't want me to spend my time on something they couldn't use. Yeah, that hurt a bit, but I still want to make something for my little guy. He loves trains and dogs and I found some great fabric with both. A dear friend helped me with the idea of a play mat. There will be a big train panel in the middle and a railroad track running around it so he can put his train on the 'track' and then a wide border. I'll make a train pillow too so he can be comfy while playing choo-choo.

*MY* projects - I see something I like and I make it. Inspiration comes from everywhere, LQS, magazines, this board of course, nature, quilt shows, TV ... whatever. Like everyone else,

I've got patterns and fabric that I've not yet used but I'm confident that they'll all be paired up into a quilt some day.

What online classes do you take? I took the one from Missouri Star Quilt Company I really enjoyed it

The third day I do it all over again.

Beginning to realize, since the advent of QB in my life, I'm not a quilter, I'm a procrastinator. :?

This is hilarious!! I think there are a lot of us who walk in your foot steps and do the same thing. I will sometimes just go into my little room and just look at the pretty fabric! :-)

I usually have trouble deciding which to start next but last week I decided to clean out a drawer of cut squares someone blessed me with several years ago. Most are not cut accurately so I have been re-cutting them and am just going to sew all of them together in a pattern I saw somewhere. Then I can put all my templates in the empty drawer...well, at least it sounds like a good idea!

Unfortunately I am the only one in this family of mine who quilts so I know if I don't finish anything it will never be done and I just couldn't bare the thought of all that wasted time, fabric and other items so I always finish what I have started before I start a new project. Well except for when it comes to those table runners, they often wait a little while. I think most of my problem comes from there not being enough time in the day to do everything I both need to and want to do
