Oh...forgot to mention. I'm also a big fan of khaki. :) Best wishes ~ C.

Love the quilt as is but a quick thought from my house. I have dogs, so black anything does not look good for very long - dog hair!! It is a consideration when making something for another.
|
I would put a border around the quilt in black then as move to edge turning to another colour of choice.
|
How about white and pink for the background with pops of red every so often that you used in the heart? I would piece the background just like you did the heart. Don't use black.

Personally, I like it on a black background and I also like - very much the various reds and other colors you already have in your squares. As a Chemo nurse, I see the black as a 'dark' period in your friends' life and the red symbolizes her strength. I'm glad to hear she's stage one. I hope your friend has a quick and uneventful recovery. Thanks for sharing your fabulous pattern. Love it!! ---- Jane

Hi fellow Floridian,
I love your quilt. Can you tell us the size of it and where you got (bought) the pattern (name)? It's fab. If you designed it yourself, you did a great job. I'm thinking it might be a good group project. Annette in Tarpon Springs |
How about blue with white polka dots or white with red?
|
What a wonderful way to use your talent. Your friend is blessed to have you.

Love the pattern, black looks good , but not for someone who will probably use it often. What about all the lint it will p/u ? I am trying to visualize another color but so far all I can think of is the purplish color you have in center that contains a red square.

If you want a contrast, but think black would be too stark or send the wrong message, perhaps, browns, grays or taupes for the surrounding background?
