I like the second layout best because of the secondary pattern that emerges.

What beautiful blocks. I think you are just going to have to play with them to see what you like best. Take a picture of each layout. That usually helps me decide.

I'd put a favorite in the center and work in rounds of each color after that if you have an odd number of blocks each way. It's time for the colored pencils.

I love your fabric and blocks! It is going to be a beautiful quilt. Sorry, can't offer any layout advice. Show us what you end up doing.

I will show what I end up doing, it will just not be really soon.
Working on a lap throw for my daughter's birthday in February, work, and other "obligated duties" always limit my time to get things complete. I am envious of all the quilters who have more time than I do, but appreciative of my time when i recognize I have more than some others! |
I think the problem stems from the fact that three of the blocks have a dark accent while the fourth one is a light blue. Maybe you could start in the center with the light color then radiate out into the darker colors.

I like the second one for reasons already stated previously. The layout of the second one brings that patterns to life because of how it makes even more stars! By the way, the block looks so beautiful!
