DH solution for mistake :)
I had to chuckle today at my DH. I had made an error putting quilt blocks together and of course did not notice it until I was about 5 rows into the quilt top. My DH saw me doing reverse stitching on the rows and told me I should just toss it out and start over!

Well, he is certainly not the typical quilter's helper !! Did he offer to buy you additional fabric ??? :)

There have been a few times I have tossed the whole thing out and started over and never felt guilty. It's been awhile since I've felt like doing that so maybe I'm getting better at spotting my mistakes early.

LOL! well, at least he's interested in your hobby.
(the only mistake I see is an OSU quilt in Michigan :)) |
"Helpers" like him are why we have dogs and cats.

I'll admit there have been times I have just tossed it and started over.

Sometimes starting over isn't the worst idea.......provided you have (or can get) enough fabric. :)

When I have made a mistake in a pattern, I take it as an opportunity to put my own spin on the pattern and later make another quilt based on what I learned from the first.

I always think of my mistakes as me making my own design. So far no one seems to have noticed them. I do this for the fun of it, and the relaxation it gives me, so I try not to worry about mistakes. IF I make one, I keep going, life will go on.
