After month of gathering infos on mid or longarms I finally made my mind up and ordered the Janome Horizon.
All I need now will be the ultimate quilting table for it. DH promised to build me one. I would like to have a L- shaped table in the corner of my sewingroom. Any suggestions on that?? I dont need an air lift but if I need once in a while the freearm function, how do I manage? Thanks for looking Granny |
This might be too low tech for what you want, but it has some great ideas that could help you decide on the features you do want.

I also came across that lift system but I cant figure out on how to attach that to a siple four leged table and I will rarely use the freearm function. |

My husband built me a U shaped table a few years ago. I love it because the left side of the "U" supports a quilt if I am FMQing, or a big top if I am piecing a bed sized quilt. The L shape will do the same thing. My table is waist high, so I can stand and sew, or I can use a tall bar stool to sit and sew. And because my husband built it, it was pretty darn inexpensive. Good for you for your new Horizon and your DH for building your table. Congrats!

I bought an Arrow table/cabinet - Bertha for mine - the machine fits and lowers and the cabinet closes up - there is a left to the left and right and one behind so there is no so much drag. Found the seller on e-bay and no taxes and no delivery. came in 3 50# boxes from MN in about 3 days
