Or did you draw upon what was already in your stash for your holiday projects in 2010?
I did both!!
I did both. Bought more this year than most years.
Not an inch!!!
Only bought 3 yards, and didn't even use them. I used the old stuff that I've had in my stash about 10 years.
I like to add a yard or two from new collections - mostly golds and silvers. Have quite a few blues now too. And anything else which appeals! This year I used some I'd had for 4 or 5 years because I found the "right" project for them.
I just got back from the LQS and while I bought a bit of fabric I was disappointed it was only 25% off. I was thinking "gee, should have gone to Joanne's or Hancock Fabrics" But I was already there... i only bought a little. 2 yards of one fabric and a panel that I thought was cute.
I drew on my stash this year but just bought more for next year!
I did both !
What a silly question! OF COURSE, I bought Christmas fabric! But I also used a lot of what I already had. It's a thrill when you can make a whole new quilt (wall hanging, table runner, etc.) w/o even getting in the car!
I didn't buy any or use what I had. Not a good quilting holiday season for me! lol
I bought just a little, can't pass up the cute new fabrics. They look like they need a home.
I also did not buy or use any. No holiday-related projects this year!
Both
Used what I had in stock.
I actually behaved myself and didn't buy any new Xmas fabrics at all this year... In fact, I'm not going to go buy any now even though they are all on sale... although I could really go for more light blue with snowflake fabrics... that makes such great sky material for picture wall quilts :)
I didn't buy any new Christmas fabric until after Christmas when it went sale at 50% off. I do this every year.
I bought two panels. One was for my tree skirt and the other was a panel for stockings. I used it all up.

Am hoping to head to my LQS today or tomorrow to see what is left. I got an email saying it was 50% off - so it may be pickedover by now. It really amazed me how little Christmas fabric they had a my local JoAnn's this year. They had less than half the stock they have had in previous years. So no point in going there for a good sale- there was little to choose from even before Christmas!
Both :)
I bought some.. but I already have alot.
Both!
I bought some new prints and some solids to go with the prints from other years. I made several tablerunners this year. The Christmas fabric is still sitting there now because I want to work on some holiday projects for 2011. I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to do because we went to Florida to visit elderly MIL right before Christmas.
I did both
I bought a little, not as much as usual. Bought some from the classifieds here too.
Both. I bought some more pretty fabrics in metre lengths so that I am organised and will be able to make an early start on 2011!
I bought early in the year for a Christmas quilt. I wanted to buy at JoAnns this week (70% off) but they only had 1 laly cutting & a long line. Since I didn't 'need' it, I passed.
I bought new Christmas fabric and used every bit of it for gifts this year
I was going to buy some on sale on sunday but the snowstorm got in the way.
I did both - :)
I bought some of last years at a reduced price, and some of this years that goes in the same line of Basic Grey for Moda!
Used all stash.
Yes! I bought Christmas fabric today at 50% off at my LQS for next year's projects/gifts. Had I known about the increase in cotton prices coming soon, I would have bought more!
i am looking to buy some on sale now
I think I bought 2 - one yard cuts. I haven't done anything with them yet, though.
No. Used some stuff I've had since the 80's for little things. I know that I should buy some during the big after-Christmas sales - but I doubt I will. 2 years of unemployment will do that to you.
I had very little Christmas fabrics and bought some on sale from Hobby Lobby. I made curtains for my kitchen out of it.
Made it to one LQS today and was shocked to find only about 10 bolts of not very appealing fabrics at only 14% off. I walked righ tout the door. Went to the other end of town on errands and stopped at my usual LQS and got 4 lovely yards of fabric for $20. I keep looking at it and wondering why I didn't buy more, as I still had a bit of cash left. Hmm...maybe I will go back tomorrow and buy another yard or 2 of my favorites.
I did not buy even one inch of Christmas fabric this year. Didn't have to. I hit the sales after Christmas last year and still have more than enough.
