that you actually want it back. lol :P I have been going to all these quilt shows and I wish I had the Cat Quilt I made for my SIL to display in a show. I called her the other day and asked her if she would put it in her Will that I get it back. lol :P She said she would after we laughed about the question. Seriously, is there any quilt you would love to have back? This is the link to the quilt I am referring to.

I asked a family I made a baby quilt for if I could have it back for a couple weeks to show it in the county fair after I gave it to them. They were excited, and then doubly happy when it won a ribbon-I was able to sweet talk a second ribbon so they could keep one attached to the quilt.

yes, i have. actually i sold the quilt to my sister. it was an indian quilt that turned out so pretty. it had burgundy indian material backing and on the front, i did blocks with cutouts of an indian girl and an indian boy with a gold sun in the sky, a cactus out of green material and a teepee out of a rust material. i alternated the blocks with a girl standing in one and a boy in the next one. i had enough material i think to make another one but haven't gotten around to doing so. there have been many times i was sorry i sold that quilt. she loved the quilt.

Yes, it was a quilt I made for my mother last December. It was for her birthday and it was shown all through the Assisted Living home she was living at.
Sadly, I got the quilt back in April when mother went to glory and did not need such mundane things anymore. It is this one: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-83369-1.htm |
Yep and Mom and Dad know when they are gone I am taking them back  LOL

Why don't you ask your SIL if she would mind loaning the quilt to you to enter in a show? She may like the idea...
It's a fabulous quilt. I wouldn't have been able to give it away. Scrappycats, I'm very sorry you have lost your mother... |
The quilt you made for your mother is wonderful! What a blessed memory of you and her bound together.

Wow I love the cat quilt you made-I can truely understand why you almost wish you still owned it. Now if there is a pattern just like that but of dogs instead I would be buying it tonight!
Scrappycats- I am so sorry about your mother's passing. However thrilled to know you received the quilt you made for her back. It's something with great meaning and I am sure will remain a special quilt in your family through the coming generations. Kat |
I know that feeling. I made a special quilt for my Mom. She just recently died, and I thought of keeping the quilt, but decided I wanted her to always have it, so it is with her forever.
