I've done hand piecing on an upstairs porch in a booth at the renfaire, in the living area of my traval trailer, in a lawn chair under the trees, in my friend's car when she's driving, in my favorite comfy chair in my bedroom, on the couch in the livingroom (mine or someone else's), on the front porch swing, in the waiting room at the dentist's office, in the hospital bed when I had the foot infection...wherever I may be that I can sit and stitch.

When I've completed a quilt top, I close down our family dining room and re-route all meals to the kitchen so I can use our dining room table for layering and basting and sometimes for quilting the larger quilts.

I've sewn in lots of places...because I take handwork with me where ever I go.

"In house"? I have a sewing room where I have my Janome, Singer 201-2 and my Huskylock serger set up. My Singer treadle and Kenmore are both in my dining room, and the Wheeler & Wilson treadle is in the living room....I've yet to make anything with it yet tho!

I'd love to have a porch or deck to sew on!
