That way, you can keep it forever, and transfer it to another device (Kindle, tablet, etc.) whenever you please. Of course, I back up all of my electronic magazine copies on an external hard drive, as well as storing them on my computer hard drive. Better safe than sorry.

Kindle fire is all but ordered, will be within a week. Please keep this thread going so we can get more information on the set up and all the capabilities for magazine and books downloading.

In addition to the quilting I'm also excited about the prospect of having recipes at my fingertips. I download a lot from the internet and I get tired of printing them out. The Fire should be so much more convenient.

You get the same benefits from the Nook color; it loves pdf files.
