Now that I finished my projects and washed and wrapped, I don't know what to do with myself tonight?

Maggiemay 12-23-2010 03:42 PM

Relax! Merry Christmas!

Relax and have some chocolate.

suern3 12-23-2010 03:51 PM

It is hard to shift gears, isn't it? I have been trying to do that this week, also. We had our "big Christmas" with all the kids and grandkids last week-end, so have been trying to re-focus this week. I think I'm getting there :)

sharon b 12-23-2010 03:58 PM

Come help me ??? Congrats on being done- now relax and enjoy

dakotamaid 12-23-2010 04:02 PM

Break out the wine, sit by the fire with hubby. I'm sure he has been neglected. Mine has!!!

ckcowl 12-23-2010 04:06 PM

kick back pour a little something pleasant to sip on and turn on a Christmas Special :)
that's what we are doing...we (hubbie and i) put together the last 9 family goodie/gift baskets after dinner...we are officially DONE! and it's not even Christmas Eve yet,...this has to be some sort of record!
so, feet are up and at 8..the grinch is gonna try to steal Christmas!

Deb watkins 12-23-2010 04:24 PM

I am right there with you! I have finished 3 quilts, a pillow sham to match, and a matching dolly blanket, 4 sets of criss-cross coasters, a table runner and a 9 block cathedral window wall hanging (thanks to Eddie's tutorial on this)......Yeah...the grandkid is in the tub getting a bath and the tea water is on.

Scrapquilt 12-23-2010 04:25 PM

Pop some popcorn and watch a movie.

bgullett 12-23-2010 04:36 PM

Taking the great advice here and going to pop some corn, but on snuggly jammies and a cup of chai tea! Hubby is out for the evening and me and my Tony will snuggle. Going to watch Inception with Leonardo! I think I figured it out.

pab58 12-23-2010 04:37 PM

Have some chocolate to celebrate!!!

maryb119 12-23-2010 04:57 PM

I plan to work on my qilt that I have on the frame. I hand quilt and always have one to work on.

lovequilts 12-23-2010 05:33 PM

sueisallaboutquilts 12-23-2010 05:55 PM

Me too. I love having something I can just pick up and work on.

Have a chilled glass of wine and celebrate a "job well done"!

tjradj 12-23-2010 08:43 PM

Chocolate, a bubble bath and a good magazine - a quilting of course.

kbs 12-23-2010 08:44 PM

I'm making cookies.

Mkotch 12-24-2010 04:37 AM

I tend to start something Christmassy on Christmas Eve or Day - save it for next year or give it away!

Come to my house, I could keep you busy.....

JanP 12-24-2010 05:08 AM

Wish you could finish the handwork on a couple of quilts for me!! I have a nerve impingement in my shoulder and can do the repetitive motion of sewing on binding for just a few minutes at a time!

Congrats on finishing your projects! Merry Christmas!

quilt3311 12-24-2010 05:27 AM

Put your feet up. Pour yourself a cup of hot chocolate (or whatever is your favorite beverage) and just relax.

CarrieAnne 12-24-2010 05:33 AM

SO happy for you, hope you got to relax!!!!!

uniquelynancy 12-24-2010 05:34 AM

bigsister63 12-24-2010 06:07 AM

Spend time to plan next project and get stuff ready to GO. I have my fabric and pattern ready to start on Dec 26.

Start a project for NEXT CHRISTMAS!!! It is never too early to start..

Abby'smom 12-24-2010 07:46 AM

I felt like that yesterday but then remembered I hadn't bought any treats for Abby and hadn't packed the totes I decorated for my relatives -- there's always something to do -- and then there is the stuff I taking to the family get-together -- I am never ahead, always behind

raptureready 12-24-2010 07:55 AM

Get out your quilting books and magazines. Look through them and plan your next project. Have it ready to go and work on it on New Year's Day. Grandma and Grandpa always said that whatever you do on NYsD sets the tone for your entire year. That's why I try to never do anything that I find unpleasant on New Year's Day.

tutty 12-24-2010 08:17 AM

How nice for you !! Well done ! Think I would lazy with all the quilting patterns to figure what was next. Oh forgot , have projects lined up already ! Well , a girl can dream can't she ? ! Enjoy

Isn't it a good feeling when it is all done? I am all for a cup of hot chocolate and a good movie,

fireworkslover 12-24-2010 08:45 AM

Just relax and do something just for you ( have a cup of tea or other beverage, soak in the tub, give yourself a facial, rub cream all over your body and snuggle in your PJ's). Your sewing machine and all those other projects will still be there tomorrow.

Drew 12-24-2010 09:42 AM

I know what you mean. I use the dining room for a lot of my quilting. Have my machine there as well as use the table to rotary cut. Had to put everything away!! DRAT!! But, I am spending time on the computer (mostly on this site)also looking for new free patterns.
