Dilute the glue or use it straight from the bottle?
Which is best? To water it down a bit(how much) or right out of the bottle? This would be to baste a quilt. As always, thank you

I use it right out of the bottle.

Elmer's School Glue is on my shopping list today, so glad to hear this. I was also thinking maybe you should dilute it, but guess it's ok as is. Thank you.

I always use it straight out of the bottle--make sure the label says "washable" glue. I see that WalMart and Target now have their own brands of "washable" glue, but I'm sticking with Elmers...I know it works *Ü*

Straight out of bottle. No special tips used.
|
I would dilute it, mainly because it seems that they've "reconfigured" the glue so that it's "non run", and I've had trouble just getting it out of the bottle.
|
I've used it both ways. I don't like when it's too thick so I tend to dilute it a bit.
I don't have a set formula. Try both ways and see what works for you. |
Ive done it both ways! Diluted didnt stick too well with the cheaper thinner batting but worked great on thicker batting! Love doing it with glue!!!!

FYI Staples now has their brand School Glue on sale for 1 cent (1 penny).
