I am very much interested in the Ditch Foot that you found. I have a Janome MC 6500 will this foot fit my machine? Also is it a walking foot too? I am going to make a trip to the Janome dealer this weekend and might purchase.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you so much for the info. I went to ebay and looked at that foot. I have it; but how do you quilt with it since it isn't a walking foot? I thought you needed a walking foot to quilt so that top and bottom fabric feed evenly.

I just used it to SID to quilt 2 pieces together with WnN batting...the two pieces were 15 1/2x 20 1/2" (for a tote). I cut the batting and backing the same size to see if I had any problem with walking -- I didn't - it worked fine.

I use the walking foot when I did sid, it just moves thru the material with ease. If your doing a table runner or such and your project is not a thick one, then I would use sid foot. Did that make sense?
