I think a scalloped edge would look nice. I really don't see a scalloped edge as "casual". Beautiful quilt top and those corner stones are adorable. Good luck and please share with us on your decision.

I like scalloped edges and can "see" it on your quilt. If you have scraps, practice a few and/or cut some paper scallops for one side and see how it looks.

I like your quilt as is. Your green border finishes your blocks and I cannot see where scallops would add to this beautiful quilt.

That looks great! Another no vote for the scallop border. Can you stand it? LOL.

Try a sample cut from paper and see if you like it.

i've only done it twice. i want to try it again. to me, it's more formal or dresier. it adds to a blah quilt. i did it on my sons white on white, and on a lap quilt for myself, a red and white quilt.

Your quilt is so stunning, personally, i don't think you'll need it. it's a stand alone quilt to m e. very precise and pretty. I love your points too!!!

Thanks, all. I had miscut a few border strips, so I drew the scallops on them and pinned to border....I felt the scallops were fighting with the circles of geese....so I guess decision is made! Waiting for backing to arrive, and I hope to get this quilted and bound so I can move on. It does feel good to have conquered a troublesome pattern!

I don't think a scalloped border will add ànything. I do scalloped borders on Quilts with flowers in it. I just think a scalloped border "softens" the quilt.

If it were my quilt, I'd put prairie points on it....kinds like get your ducks/geese in a row! LOL

Love your quilt. Agree with many others and don’t think a scalloped edge would work well with it.

Look up Krista Moser on the net. She has a great way to make scalloped edges fit any quilt.
