There, I have vented my spleen on that subject and have wanted to do that one for years!!!!!
Exactly!!

Good point. Branding is part of our popular culture. Personally, it's not for me.

unless I had a quilt pattern that cut the logo off I wouldnt even buy it no matter how great the design looked, and I'd find the manufacturer and email them I chose not to buy their product due to this issue - the salvedge edge is fine for logos. sharet

I would remove it, I just don't like the logos on the fabric where you can see it.

I hate logos on clothing, shoes, purses, etc; so yes, I don't like it on the material. It is so much a part of that panel, however, you must decide what you want to do with it. Were you planning on doing a "panel quilt"? Or were you going to cut it anyway?.
OR, maybe you could applique something over it.
Good luck.

Do not like logos... do not buy big name logos of anything. Why should I pay to advertise for them. That is just me.

As a former librarian, I try to keep within copyright laws but when I quilt, I want my (sometimes plain and very not perfect) quilts to be MINE. For this reason, I avoid panels unless I am doing charity quilts for children and even then I like a more generic panel.
I find it really small minded to slip a logo into something that will garner free advertising. A nephew won't even allow a car dealer to put his logo on the back when he buys a new car. He's a Public Relations Specialist and REFUSES on principle to provide advertising for anything for which he's not reimbursed.
Maybe you should submit an advertising bill with a letter of complaint to RealTree (or whatever the culprit is)!

I would probably have to cut it off, or applique something over it - just on principle. My luck, fifty years from now anything with that logo would be a collector's item worth big bucks, and I would have destroyed mine.

Ah well, I'm not going to be around fifty years from now anyway! I say get rid of it if it bugs you!

I would cut it off and it would annoy me to lose the frame. I might applique something over it as well. I was very annoyed to see the geisha material I bought had stupid names written under each geisha. They were not even Japanese names and I had to applique flowers over them. I guess they forced me to be creative in a way I did not expect!

The panels are beautiful, but I wouldn't buy them because of the logo. I don't want advertising on my quilts.
