I always iron/press before cutting.

I don't use starch or sizing.

Even if I ironed/pressed it when I put it away. After washing the fabric.

Hate to fight with those creases.

I try to starch my fabrics I'll be using at least 3 hours ahead of when I'll need, then iron.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who irons & starches her fabric before cutting it.

I also iron through the piecing process - it helps with the seams. :)

I ALWAYS iron. I only starch though if I have stubborn creases...which seems a lot recently. Its too hard to cut evenly if you dont and then no matter how perfectly you sew your seams the blocks still wont match up. Too frustrating not to. Hope that helps.

I alway's wash (no softener), iron (starch or water), block the fabric (so no unevenness), fold so fits nicely into drawer until needed. That way, I know all fabric is washed and if I have to iron again before using, I figure I am just getting my iron warmed up for ironing seams. Only takes a moment.

I don't unless it is really wrinkled. I cut my strip first. I iron my strip before I cut the final pieces.

I wash all my fabric before it is put away, so naturally it needs to be ironed. I never starch and sometimes it needs some pressing again when I go to use it. Marge

I always press my fabric before cutting. Quite often, I only press enough to get the cuts I need. If I have a yard of fabric and am only going to cut a 3" strip, I'll only press about 6" of the fabric on the edge that I'm going to cut.

Iron first.

I wash, and iron fabric as I bring it home and before I store it. When I'm ready to use it, I starch and iron before I begin cutting.
