The tote bags I make are so simple they ought to be illegal. Maybe I should just call them shopping bags since there is NOTHING fancy or difficult about them. Even the lined ones.

Granddaughters convinced me to make them aprons. Does that count?

Something easy or something small, especially after a project seems to have taken years.

I have to be doing something with fabric. I have been cutting scraps into three sizes 1.5 2.0 & 2.5 squares to make into nine patches to oneday put in a quilt. I have just finished a scrapy quilt on the board today have a wallhanging basted and am working away on a bonnie hunter quilt. I think of all of these as fillers until the next quilt project.

I always have to cleanse my brain after a full size quilt. Potholders made from scraps always seems to fit the need.

I think that is when I'd invite them over to learn to sew. Aprons are so easy------ideal beginner projects.

I like to make crumb blocks....at least that is what I have heard them called....just something simple that requires no thinking. Occasionally, I will make something like pjs. Just fun to make something I can sew and finish in an evening.

Yes - that's when I start strippin', stringin' & charmin'. Strips & strings go on muslin bases for "sleeping porch quilts" to be donated. Charms are made into twosies & foursies until I get enough for a small to medium lap quilt, also to be donated. Uses up stash & fabrics that I no longer like or wonder "what was I thinking when I bought that??"

I usuall sew afew pillowcases or the Million Pillocase Challenge.
