I do, but only when I scrap quilt. Normally I will follow a pattern, especially if it's intricate....

me and patterns don't get along...I usually try to do what ever comes into my brain.

I love to wing it or take a pattern and change it to my liking. One of the things I enjoy most is playing with my fabric's until I come up with something I really like.
