I find myself spending most of my free time here. When I have limited time as it is. But I can help myself, there is some much information here I love it.

sueisallaboutquilts 08-11-2010 08:29 AM

I "should" be doing a lot of other things but I prefer to be here or my sewing room :D

amma 08-11-2010 08:30 AM

So much to see and learn here... and it takes time to further our quilting education  :D:D:D

donnajean 08-11-2010 08:49 AM

At least there is something to do when it is just too hot to go outside.

Joan 08-11-2010 08:53 AM

Quilting comes first around here....

(you can tell by looking at my house!)

Dina 08-11-2010 08:55 AM

Yes, I am definitely addicted to this forum. It is just so interesting!!

sewgray 08-11-2010 09:04 AM

Yes, yes and yes.

KathyAire 08-11-2010 09:08 AM

My computer and my sewing room are both upstairs. I get plenty of exercise going up and down the steps. When I'm up here, I think I should be doing something downstairs. I go down for a few minutes and do something and find myself right back up here. I spend way too much time on the computer and not enough time taking care of all the quilting ideas that are running around in my head.

sharon b 08-11-2010 09:33 AM

 UUHH Yes... LOL I should be out sewing right now , but nope here I sit

Joyce 08-11-2010 09:45 AM

I spend way too many hours on this board! I can justify it at this time because I am recuperating from several surgeries, still have one to go.
But what am I going to do when that's not the case?
I can just hear me saying..."but you don't know what these withdrawal symtoms are like".
Actually, there are some things that I could be doing now instead of being on here. I'll start tomorrow, OK? :D

Jim's Gem 08-11-2010 10:33 AM

Yes, I spend way too much time here. I have a million other things I should be doing!!!

redvette54 08-11-2010 10:41 AM

Yes, between here and playing Bejeweled on Facebook, I don't get much done on my days off. Making myself go do some laundry.

brenda21 08-11-2010 10:44 AM

too much time on here but worth it :)

Lady Shivesa 08-11-2010 10:54 AM

Oh yes, I have this page pulled up all day long. I try to be a good housewife and clean - but inevitably end up taking little 'breaks' to check the forum. I spend countless hours reloading the pictures forum because I loooove looking at all the pretty pictures.

I even take quilting breaks (half because I want to check in on the forum and half because my back gets sore). :P

BRenea 08-11-2010 11:00 AM

I've been spending way to much time here! There are lots of other things I should be doing...maybe I'll do them tomorrow. ;-)

pojo 08-11-2010 11:12 AM

Yes, but I learn alot on here.

I meet alot of nice people here too.

Yep! This sounds like me! (well, maybe not the good housewife and clean part)

This place is addicting. I'm at work and I try to come here a lot during the day. If I'm feeling too lazy to do anything when I get home from work I come here and Eleanor Burns' forum. It really takes a lot of self control to walk past my computer and go to my sewing room or laundry room or whatever. I'd get a lot more done if I stayed away......but who can?

miss_ticky2 08-11-2010 01:13 PM

I spend all day here, on and off. My house... and my lack of quilting progress..looks like it too...lol

BOYD56 08-11-2010 01:18 PM

I AM VERY LUCKY I READ THIS THROUGHOUT THE DAY WHILE @ WORK :)

Up North 08-11-2010 01:25 PM

Hmm let me think here!! I get on here about 6 am and off at 8 is that too much time? 8PM that is!! I consider this a college degree that I am getting. It takes a lot of time to go to Quilting School and practice all the lessons on here!!
There! I think I justified myself!! LOL

katmom54 08-11-2010 01:45 PM

My little one doesn't mind me being on the 'puter, but when I start a project or get involved with anything else, she is constantly interrupting or demanding attention...so I go on QB and dream a lot about all the quilts I will someday make. She does love to go yard-sale-ing and fabric shopping though, so my stash is building all the time :)

newquilter10 08-11-2010 02:16 PM

Count me as one that spends a lot of time here. Lots to learn and I need to learn all I can.

littlehud 08-11-2010 05:54 PM

I love spending time here. What a fun place to be.

sewmuchmore 08-12-2010 04:52 AM

Good morning, this is where we can have our coffee and visit, chat, laugh and sometime cry. If we need help you are always there. This is a family. I can't think of any other place I would rather be. thank you for been who you are.

Oh yes, Dina and all you quilters out there, this place is addicting, now if my yard and house did not get in the way, I would be here even MORE. Love it, just great!!!

Melinda in Tulsa 08-12-2010 07:13 AM

Oh yes, I spend way too much time here when I should be sewing. We won't discuss house work :) But I have learned sooooo much.

bonniedip 08-13-2010 02:00 AM

in my house we put up a chore chart so everyone knows what chores they need to get done. That gives me more time to learn those little tips everyone has and more time to quilt.

quilt3311 08-13-2010 03:56 AM

Yup, that s why I am now getting up a half hour earlier, just to see whats going on.

jolo 08-13-2010 04:44 AM

Yes it takes me about 4 hours to read it all.

keesha_ont 08-13-2010 04:46 AM

I can't wait on the days that this forum comes to my eamil. I spend close to 2 hours on it each time. The information shared is wonderful as well as meeting so many talented and creative quilters. Each quilt that is pictured is stored in my memory so that I too can make one!! I have gained so much useful information and always have a big supply of starch on hand now - lol. WOuld love to meet each and everyone one of you.

foxxigrani 08-13-2010 05:05 AM

Ditto on all thee above, I spend way to much time on the board or anything else on the computer. I take breaks and have to find out what is going on. I have two computers, one in kitchen and one in sewing room, do I get much done. Thats a big nope, but I sure know whats on my computers lol.

Did you ever think that this board is an education? We're not wasting time here, we're learning. I could get my "quilting degree" in another two or three years.

Dodee 08-13-2010 05:19 AM

This is my contact with the "outside world". We are retired so I'm in no hurry to get to other things. My family is "scattered" all over the USA so I also talk to them by e-mail in the morning - after I read all the quilting board.

grannysewer 08-13-2010 06:18 AM

Oh, yes. way too much time.

Dkm 08-13-2010 06:40 AM

All I can say is this is a must for the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who can start without it. I do find that I am starting to read more than comment.

dforesee 08-13-2010 06:44 AM

I have been a member of two online quilt groups prior to this one and neither kept me wanting to come back for more like this one. There is just so much great information and the interaction is like conversing with old friends. I have a day job at a medical billing company, but I am here on my breaks and lunchtime. I love it!

JudyMN 08-13-2010 06:48 AM

I just found this site a week ago and I've logged too many hours to count. It is so interesting learning from others. I've never taken a quilting class, but with a site like this, my education of quilting is increasing! It is addicting!

My Cat's Belle 08-13-2010 06:57 AM

I too spend a lot of time here and investigating links that I find. One link leads to another. There is such interesting info and beautiful pics available, I don't know when to stop. My "want to make" list gets larger, but I don't get to the sewing machine. I am going to try to make reading this board my thing to do when sitting in the evenings.
