Do you have a favorite "go to" pattern you use over and over?

I have approximately 500,000 patterns at my fingertips but often want to just make a quick and easy quilt. Currently like 9-patch patterns the most, especially on point.

I like to play with patterns that are based on a 3x3 grid.

My favorite go to is Lucky Stars, it always works up fast and depending on the fabric can be made for a baby or more upscale for an adult.

I don't usually make the same quilt more than once, the only exception was the chenille quilts I made. I like to try something new and different each time.

I have never done the same thing twice. I always try to learn something new with each quilt I make so make something different. I also get easily bored doing the same thing over and over. I really like sampler quilts for that reason but also do other type quilts.

I find myself turning to either French Braid or Bargello patterns when I want to make something I know will always turn out fabulous and also gives me the opportunity to be creative. French braid quilts are the (need a quilt in a short time) pattern and bargello quilts I make as a*background* for applique quilts. Beyond those two I pretty much never make the same quilt twice-and those two patterns allow me to still not make the same quilt... Each one is always new & unique

I have used many charity patterns more than once. I let the fabric tell me what pattern to use for the best results. I love the simplicity of a Square within a Square and with so many variations to the pattern, I never feel like I am making the same one again. I do so LOVE BQ2. I shrink the pattern down to 13.5" square unfinished and it goes together in a day.

I've made the double slice pattern from MSQC several times. I always have layer cakes and it makes up so quickly and looks different every time.

Please tell me what a BQ2 is.

I make a different pattern every time and try to make each new one a technique that is new & challenging to increase my skill level.
