my style changes all the time. What I liked a year ago...not so much now. Right now, I like the traditional patterns just with new fabrics...oh and batiks!!!! Love, love, love batiks!!!!

For the past two years my style has been patriotic/RWB quilts, mostly traditional in design.
Before that I was all about very floral fabrics in bed-sized quilts. Think my interest for the future is leaning toward more scrappy looking - as in multiple prints of 1-5 hues - quilts again in bed-size. Have got to come up with something to hand quilt for next fall/winter, too. Jan in VA |
I do more machine applique than anything else, but I try a variety.

I would say my style is wholecloths and hand quilting - but very traditional.

I think that when you get to the stage of not wanting to slavishly copy a style or traditional pattern, that you are on the cusp of developing your own style. My style is that I don't really like to do the same thing twice and will try a different technique with every quilt. However, having said that, I have repeated quilts in order to earn$$$ from those who want one "just like that one".So long as you enjoy it, I think all is OK.

I don't have a style yet but prefer traditional patterns. Fabric choices would include old fashioned florals, esp. small florals.

I appreciate traditional quilts but lean toward contemporary quilts and fabric...I am drawn to scrappy quilts using all fabrics though.

My first quilt was a whole cloth pre-print. But since then I am kinda a scrappy girl. I really have no desire to do one of the matchy matchy quilts.
