Do you know a non-busy quilt?
I want to make my daughter a quilt. She thinks quilts are to busy. I know someday she will want a quilt from dear old mom.My mother told her grandmother the same thing and she was sorry after her grandmother passed away that she didn't have one of her quilts.(me to) Any ideas for a non-busy quilt? I thank you in advance. FayZ

Rail Fence. I have done these in three colors and they look good. BrendaK

Try one of the modern quilt designs. Google "Modern Quilts". I bet she would like one of those in her favorite colors.

In my mind a 'non busy' quilt would have two (maybe three) colors and a simple pattern/block. Maybe even monochromatic in color.

I would ask her to browse Pinterest for samples of what she views as non-busy .

Thank you for your response. I will look up some rail fences and some two color quilts

and you could do one in soft colors, like cream, white, beige. Sometime those colors make gorgeous quilts!

I like carpenter's star quilts like my avatar. I usually make them with just 3 colors and adjust the size of the block to adjust the size of the quilt.

Some one posted a picture under Modern Railway with a twist... If you put that title in the QB search bix it should come up. There was also a link in the post to the site and instructions under Mad quilter's disease: Bloggers quilt festival 2011: the Mod Rail Fence.

The BQ2 quilts are not "busy" or at least I don't think so. They go together pretty quick too. If you google BQ2 you will get a ton of different pictures
