My music changes. Of late it has been I Heart Radio with either Peter, Paul and Mary or John Denver type music. Barry Manilow is also good.

mostly movies for me. tv, if i'm concentrating on something. all I want is the background noise then. for some odd reason I find music distracting. Takes me away from the task at hand.
I love rock and roll or country music when I sew. I sometimes have the tv on. Sometimes, I like quiet. It just depends on the kind of day I have had.
I'm an audio books person myself.
I've tried but I get so involved in my sewing I forget to listen!
I crank up the ipod and listen mostly to Yanni and his wonderful piano.....I don't have to worry about my focus changing from quilting to singing (which is never a good thing...LOL)

For me it is my DVD's - old TV series like Murder She Wrote, Perry Mason, JAG, NCIS, and the list goes on. They usually last for 4 hours and for the most part it is background. I do have some old episodes of "Simply Quilts" that I recorded years ago and will play that tape once in a while.

Love music while quilting. I have several play lists on my Ipod. Fast n Fun, Mellow tunes and one called Dad. Dad is my favorite. Wide variety of musical styles and tempos. Right from Beatles, Supertramp, Billy Joel (who we both loved) lots of Canadian singers to some of todays music.

I like to listen to podcast. Pat Sloan does one for American Patchwork and Quilting. She does interviews with all sorts of quilters.
I listen to something - baseball games, music, audio books, a podcast from NPR. Just depends on my mood. I find that the NPR podcasts are great - interesting enough to keep my interest but not so much they distract me.
