I have never felt the need for these when I have always had Sandersons matching curtains and bedspread , the latter being rolled down for sleeping and a flannelette sheet washed twice weekly placed over duvet for dogs to lie on.
Have been known to make dog bed covers for xmas!!

We do this for table runners, never gave bed runners much thought before.
Anyone?

I made this one for a friend last year for Christmas.

Sounds great to me!

If you have a favorite (generous sized) table runner pattern, make it and add borders, Voila! a bed runner! Hopefully it doesn't have coffee cups or something that would be rather weird in a bedroom.
