I tear up vintage pattern pieces and attach them to mixed media art quilts...but that's probably not what you meant huh.

I never buy Simplicity/McCalls/Butterick quilting patterns. I just like the quilt books so much better. They are more tactile in some ways, and I love the pictures.

I get patterns from wherever I find them. :)

I mostly get patterns for free from the internet. There is so much free stuff out there! When I first started quilting I subscribed to a couple magazines and have used many of those patterns as well. I don't have a LQS near me (they have all closed in the past 2 years) so, no, I don't use any from LQS.

I do not use any specific brand of patterns nor do I have a specific place I buy them. I use patterns from magazines, from the free online sites and I have bought several from others on this board. I have also bought patterns at garage sales and thrift stores.

I use a lot that I get on the internet, I never even thought to look at the other patterns, will have to check that out.

Ditto and the least expensive the better. |
I get most of my ideas from fabric mfgrs. Website. Moda has great patterns. Quilting Mags from overseas are my next source. Local quilt mags are so repetitive and geared to the newer Quilter.
