I can absolutely fall for any well designed quilt, but for my own doing, prefer working modern.

Mostly traditional but every so often I break away and do something a little different, usually for a gift or a swap.

I'm very traditional. I LOVE reproduction prints, especially 30's and 40's and Civil war. I never buy large prints...NEVER. How different we all are......that is good!

I like traditional patterns with a twist. Traditional patterns but I like to mix up the fabrics from every era including batiks. It all depends what the block is saying to me. I tend to keep to the brights to a minimum. Quirky, I know and takes forever to pick and choose every piece.

I love both. I used to be always a traditional quilter, but as of late I have started to read blogs from women who do more contemporary quilts and I now love them as well!

My favorite contemporary quilts are featured on:

I am very traditional with my quilting and sometimes I try a modern quilt just to give it a different look.

I don't know either. I don't care for art quilts very much. They are beautiful and well-crafted, just not for me. I want function, I guess :) I have to say, I've really only made a few quilts so far, and they have NOT been very traditional - one was a wall hanging kit (that one and one other kit I have are the only two kits I will likely do - they are too restricting, but I can learn a lot from them :) ). I made a rail fence that I messed up in a cool way, so it doesn't look traditional. My Trip around the World turned into an X - another mistake that looks really cool (and dh likes it even more :) ) DD's D9P is probably traditional, but it's totally scrappy, so I don't know. The sunflower quilt I'm working on right now is my own design because I wanted to preserve the large sunflowers, so the "squares" are rectangles instead. It does have traditional rail fence blocks incorporated in the design.

I will be making one totally traditional quilt soon - a maple leaf for my oldest son. His request :)

I like both but prefer light pastel florals in traditional patterns...

I prefer to stick to old patterns, however , some of the new patterns have peaked my interest. I am not into the art quilts.
