Do you recognize this pattern
 

A friend of mine made this quilt and wants to display it in a show however, she cannot remember the name of it. She made it a couple of years ago and says the pattern came out of a magazine that she had.
Does anyone know the name?

I don't know the name but the style looks like something by Bonnie Hunter.

Incredible piecing by your friend, and definitely show-worthy.
If you don't come up with the name or details, for sure tell her to enter it.
Just be honest and tell the story that she knows about the pattern.

I agree with Tartan. If you use the 50-40 block in combination with another block, it gives the illusion of circles. Fons & Porter had one on the cover of one of their magazines a few years ago with the 54-40 and and a star block and they called it friendship rings. I don't think the alternate block on this one is corn and beans. Someone just brought up an old thread(2011?) today with the corn and beans. These patterns have had a lot of names and I want to make every one I see, including this one:D. Fools the eye is another name. I'll try to show friendship rings.
