Do you remember a quilt posted the last day or two

I hope you guys can help me. I have been looking the last couple of hours (on the qt here at work) for a quilt I saw posted yesterday. It was a patriotic quilt that had two blocks: blue and white stars and the other block was a red and white stipe. I keep looking in between projects but can't find it. I really need to concentrate on my office work before my boss gets upset and since I have dial up at home I really can't do a search at there because it takes forever for anything to load.

Thanks in advance if you can find the picture for me.

Karen

well I can't see it right now. it's here somewhere. stars and bars someone said it should be named.

QuiltnNan 04-11-2013 12:59 PM

is it this one? http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...y-t218754.html

scrapngmom 04-11-2013 01:07 PM

No, this one is great, but it isn't the one. The one I am looking for only has two blocks. A red and white railroad and a blue and white star. Thanks for trying though.

Prism99 04-11-2013 01:17 PM

Is it this one?

scrapngmom 04-11-2013 01:21 PM

Not this one either. It was a very simple quilt.

kansaspansy 04-11-2013 01:30 PM

It was a fons and porter pattern. I think its on their website.

Prism99 04-11-2013 01:35 PM

This one? http://www.fonsandporter.com/article...quilt_of_valor

scrapngmom 04-11-2013 01:45 PM

Nope, not that one. I know I saw it yesterday and this is the only quilting group I belong to. Major frustration. Maybe I dreamed I saw it.

kansaspansy 04-11-2013 02:06 PM

well, if you dreamed it, I did too. It might have been an advertisement, It was on a quilt rack or a ladder. not sure which. i'm sure its the one you're talking about, but I can't locate it

Prism99 04-11-2013 02:14 PM

How about this one: http://www.fonsandporter.com/article...memorial_quilt

Or the one pictured on this page (old thread, but I think there was a post made to the thread yesterday):
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...186408-13.html

nativetexan 04-11-2013 02:23 PM

nope, none of those. I've searched to page 4 in pictures and main and non quilting. I know I saw it, red stars and red and white rail blocks. very easy two block quilt. someone said it should be named stars and bars. can't find in a search either but it was yesterday or day before. someone was wanting the name of it.

nativetexan 04-11-2013 02:46 PM

found pic of it on another forum. PM'd.

Hylarie 04-11-2013 03:23 PM

I didn't see it on here, but based on your description I thought of this quilt of valor from fons and porter. Is this it? ( I hope the link works) http://www.kqimageserver.com/cv3/large/DP124011.jpg

scrapngmom 04-11-2013 03:55 PM

Thanks but that isn't it. Everyone is so wonderful to help me look.

berryberry 04-11-2013 04:57 PM

Here's a link to stars and stripes forever- This picture is older than a couple of days but it's stars and stripes. Is this what you are looking for?

http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...n-t210371.html

It's in Judy Martin's Knockout blocks which is no longer in print. It can be found in some software package. The pattern can also be found in Quilter's July 2002.

Whoops! Link already posted so stars and stripes isn't it.

All of your links show beautiful quilts!!!

Do you visit Pinterest? I just saw one on there that sounds like your description.

Gaijin 04-11-2013 07:02 PM

I saw it too! It had stars on the upper left and simple stripes on the rest of it.

Gladygirl 04-11-2013 07:06 PM

There is a quilt using Friendship Stars and Rail Fence blocks on page 7 of the thread "show me your red, white and blue quilts" -posted by totosmom-- its quite a ways into the thread but think it might be the one you are looking for--has white star on blue background and red and white railroad fence. Good luck.

Gladygirl 04-11-2013 07:13 PM

Just found another one on Pinterest which was similar but had blue star on white background--with narrower red and white strips in the rail fence block---also very simple and pretty.

DOTTYMO 04-11-2013 11:01 PM

Is this the quilt. It is by Toto's Mom .

There was a link to the new Connecting Threads American Celebration range - could this be it?

QuiltnNan 04-12-2013 03:15 AM

This was going to be my suggestion, I saved it to my PC 02/04/13, if that helps.

Teacup 04-12-2013 03:48 AM

Take a look at this one on Quiltville...might not be what you remember, but sound like your description.
http://quiltville.com/ohstar.shtml

Also, similar to this, I think using the Warm Wishes pattern with a star block as the focal block would work very well. Use blue and red bars with a slightly wider white or cream bar in the middle.

Pattycakes 04-12-2013 06:08 AM

The only thing I have seen posted that was patriotic was a tablerunner; Is this what you are talking about.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...r-t218566.html

Hope this is it. I know how frustrating it is to see something totally awesome and not be able to find it. Good luck.

athenascooter 04-12-2013 06:17 AM

there is one in the pictures from 4/7 called liberty log. I also think I saw one in a current issue of one of the quilting magazines Hope you find what you are looking for. I know how it happens so I try to write down the date I saw a quilt I want to remember. I have most of the quilting boards on my computer yet just in case I want to look at some

I have seen one recently where the red and white stripes are a bit wonky. I think it is someone's illustration in their login (can't think of the word).

Please let us know when you find it. I searched for it and couldn't find anything like what you described.

Yes, that is the pattern, but it isn't the exact quilt I saw. Thank you guys for all trying to help me. My daughter's boyfriend is a marine who will be shipping out in October and I would like to give him a simple red white and blue quilt. I am not the best quilter, but I think I can handle that simple design. Again, thank you to everyone who looked for me and pm'd me. I LOVE YOU ALL!!

I wonder if it was bellaboo's avitar? that is a tumbler quilt I think. beautiful in any case.

xsquilter 04-12-2013 05:50 PM

Would it be the "scrappy pinwheels mini lap quilt" posted by Nanny's dollface? At about 9:45 Ontario,Canada time, I saw it on page 2 in the pictures section.
