Keep saying to yourself. There are NO quilt police. It takes practice to get those mitered corners just right. Everyone of us have had to deal with the corner that just doesn't look right. It will be ok. Just do your best one quilt at a time. I think it looks beautiful. It would be a shame not to finished it so everyone could look at it. My worst quilt binding was my first. I learned from a book. I didn't know who to ask. Right now the quilt is under a spotlight in the lady's home that I gave it to. Her son was in Iraq (which is why I made her the quilt). To her, it's perfect! One quilt at a time...Cheryl

I feel the same way - also love the great feeling that I get knowing it is finally done and has not become another UFO that I will have to deal with later. There are a lot of aliens in my house at the moment!!

Very nice, binding doesn't bother me, it means that the quilt is almost ready to use.

I always machine sew mine and I am done in no time. I fold 2 1/2" strip in half...sew it on the wrong side - fold it over and stitch it down on the right side. Easy peasy!

I'm with those that love the binding part. I hate the sandwich part, that always discourages me. But binding means that I've gone past that and I can finally have a finished product. I too love that I am not stuck to my machine and can spend some time with my husband watching tv while I hand stitch the binding.

I'm with you on this! I don't like doing the binding either. I'm picking up 3 quilts from the LAQ tonight so I have mixed emotions. Can't wait to see how the quilting turned out, but know what's ahead of me to finish the quilt! But we'll get through it!!!!

I usually can't wait to do the binding. I know when the binding is finished the quilt is finished. I don't mind doing the binding. I do it all on the machine and it goes really fast.

I think the part that you may be dreading is tugging that quilt around to put the binding on it with your sewing machine. I always put my bindings on while the quilt is still on the longarm --- after all, a longarm is just a big sewing machine, right? :D That enables me to get the corners just the way I want them. Then I can sit in front of the TV and do the hand stitching, and I LOVE that part! :-)

Binding is my favorite part of making a quilt. It's so relaxing to me, especially the hand stitching to the back.

I usually offer to bind quilts for friends if they are struggling to get a quilt finished.

Your quilt is very pretty!
