I wear flip flops. I am so careless afraid I will step on a needle or pin. Always put something on my feet when I go into my sewing room.

Goodness yes. Funny, though, when I switch back to footwear, I almost have to get used to it again. Jim is forever after me to put on some slippers. If I could get away with it I would be barefoot outdoors too.

Not all the time but I sew barefooted

I never wear shoes or socks. Just when I get in the car to go somewhere. If feel like I can't breathe with them on LOL

Never wear shoes in the house. I can not even wear slippers when I sew.

I ALWAYS have to wear shoes when I quilt or my feet go crazy, hurting so much... :-( It's true though, you actually CAN control the foot pedal with shoes on...when forced! |
Those of us who sew with our shoes on are quite the minority. I don't like to go barefoot so I sew in socks or sneakers.

Barefoot! I'd go barefoot everywhere if I could.
But pet peeve is people barefoot in stores! To dangerous. I actually thought I was the only one who sewed barefoot. Glad I'm not alone. Grew up barefooted even when walking outside. Feet have calluses but I don't care. Drives my DH crazy when I walk across the blacktopped driveway barefoot in the heat of the day or over rocks and such! |
I have always sewed either barefoot or with a sock on in the winter. When I go to classes I wear slip on shoes - got to sew without them.
