Wow, that quilt is in great shape. I love it.

It's definitely Kansas Troubles - Delectable Mountains has another piece above the point.

No matter the name, you have a wonderful quilt. Be sure to post the name if it is ever comfirmed. I have never seen it before.

try quilt block.com and when theis opens up go to search patterns and check out page 60. I did not go to every page, but started on pg 70 and worked back to pg 57. But on page 60 tangled brair block near the bottome of that page looks like a reverse of this pattern. Check them all out, on this site and you might find it. Good luck, if you find it let us know.

What a blessing & treasure you have received from your great grandmother! Don't know the pattern though.

This is beautiful! I think it's a variation of Kansas Troubles, too. Lots of times, women would see a quilt they liked and go home and draw it out - sometimes they would intentionally change the block and sometimes, maybe they would forget how something lined up or how the colors went together. This looks pretty intentional, though. :)

It sure is pretty and I would love to have a quilt made by one of my grandmothers. :)

I was googleing an old pattern company that I heard mentioned on a quilting program that I was listening too and i found this link http://www.americanlegacyquiltindexe...an_legacy2.htm
If you scroll down to "The Index of the Hearth Home" with the pictures of the quilt blocks in that edition you will see a quilt block called The Maple Leaf that is very similar to your quilt.
