what a great quilt....lucky you....sorry, do not know the name, good luck in finding it...
|
It is gorgeous! I checked Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of patterns and it is not in there. Must be original.
|
What a treasure you have.
|
You may be able to get help from your state historical society, or the state where your great, great grandmother lived when she made the quilt - it may be a local variation...
What a wonderful treasure! It's wonderful it found it's way to you to love and appreciate it. |
WOW - what a beautiful & special treasure to have.

I don't know the name, but just wanted to say that you have an amazing treasure in that beautiful quilt.

don't know the name, but I would draw it up on a grid and make my own pattern calling it "monster mouth" - it makes me think of a mouth full of teeth, might make a cute Halloween stlye wall hanging or lap quilt. Maybe red, white for the mouth part and blacks and theme fabric for the HST. sharet
