Does anyone know where I can find...
Flour Sack Towels to embroider on? I know Walmart has them but the quality isn't great for embroidering. Any ideas and resources would be helpful! :)

I use the flour sack towels from Walmart. I wash them, no softner, then partial dry. Then I use a strong starch solution and iron them. Embroidery does very well for me.

Hobby Lobby ? or online I think Mary Maxims has them

A friend showed me the WalMart flour sacks she had purchased, and yes the quality of them is terrible, the are slightly better than cheese cloth. She did not use them.
Have you done a google search? Nancy's Notion carries them. |
Try www.embroiderthis.com They usually carry good quality flour sack towels. Good luck!!!

Walgreen's towels are not bad but pricey. Sam's club has some towels that are supposed to be pretty nice for embroidery. I've never used them though.

Martha Stewart sells them, very good quality. JoAnns has them also.

Nice website! Thanks for the link!

I always purchase them from the Thrifty White Drug. Have the best towels and are only about 99 cents each plus tax. I picked up a lot of them and had my mother embroider them and then gave them to my kids so they had something from their Grandma hand made. I got the last ones from her about a month before she had her massive stroke and passed away.
