It is very simple. All the fabric is cut into 2.5 inch strips by 6.5 inches. I can't give you the ratio but I think I remember the center strip needs at least 2.5 yards to make a decent size quilt. Cut the centers to size only and leave the other fabric in strips. As you sew the fabric to the center piece you trim each out piece to length. In fact you can strip piece this as a continuous line cutting it apart at the end. After the two sides are sewn attach top and bottom. Hope that helps. If you are doing a scrappy quilt, cutting all the strips individually is great. But you could also make this quilt in strips...sew three strips together for the middle, cut them to size, and sew on the end pieces. More of your blocks will be the same, but it would go faster.
