Does anyone see a block out of order or upside down...

Before I sew these diagonal strips together, does anyone see a block out of order, upside down, or anything? I love this pattern but it makes me dizzy to figure it out. I have had help all along the way, and am asking for one last proofreading!

Thanks,
Dina

It looks great.

QuiltnNan 08-09-2014 05:55 AM

it looks good to me, too

tessagin 08-09-2014 05:56 AM

I think what you might be seeing on your design wall is just the gapping between some of the rows where you see the blocks aren't butt up against each other. I believe that's all that it is. Just close the gaps. I often have other eyes look at my designs.

Looks good, now to get it sewn together without flipping a square! I might pin sticky notes to the top corners of each block.:)

Dina 08-09-2014 06:06 AM

Okay, thanks. Three of you not seeing a problem, that is enough for me....I am off to get this done!

Yes I do see a block out of order. It's on the left side, as I look at the photo about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. All the blocks in this row have the lavender pieces meet in a four patch set on point, except for this section. Hope it's not too late to fix.

I must be blind, I can't see anything out of order!

It's a lovely quilt, I really like this pattern. I think I'm going to have to add it to The List!

Looks perfect to me!!!

I agree. Just be careful and mark your rows with whatever method you use for your Bargello. Love the purple fabrics you picked !!

Thanks! I have gone to the area you suggested, with my son's help...again...and we have figured out the problem. I have the blocks in the right order, but I seem to have stretched the size of one side. If we line the seams up, it works out fine. I hope when I get to that part I can stretch one side and "unstretch" the other a bit.

Guess I am not through with challenges yet. :)

Yes, I keep thinking that if I can do a Bargello, I can do this. In fact, I chant it quite often lately!!

Love this version of Lover's Knot.
i have done this pattern three times and yes, you do have to watch the placement. Good job!

Pennyhal 08-09-2014 10:12 AM

I can't find anything out of order. Fantastic quilt!

michelleoc 08-09-2014 04:32 PM

That is so purty!

Clarice29 08-10-2014 03:13 AM

I think it is OK. It is just the gap from the way it is pinned.

sewnsewer2 08-10-2014 03:44 AM

Is this the lovers knot? It is GORGEOUS! !!

twinkie 08-10-2014 03:45 AM

If it had been mine, there would have been a lot more out of order but I love the quilt.

callen 08-10-2014 03:55 AM

I see why you asked for so much help. Makes me dizzy looking at it. Gorgeous quilt & here's best wishes for a successful ending to this project. If anyone can find a misblock in there has better eyes than I do. Great job !!

Yes, it is the Lover's Knot. I am sorry I didn't identify it. Normally I do. :)

I have finished sewing all the pieces together and just figured out my border. Here is where I am.

check the third row light purple design, just below the door knob on the left

Up4BigChal 08-10-2014 05:43 AM

Yes I see it on the bottom right side looks like the second row up should be an easy fix before it's quilted!! I've make this pattern a few times Love it but it's hard to see if you've been looking at it for a week or so!!!

jeast 08-10-2014 06:04 AM

I won't be a quilt police - if u love it that's all!

caspharm 08-10-2014 07:21 AM

It looks great!

leaf 08-10-2014 07:40 AM

This looks great! I can see why your head is spinning!
I use little round Avery sticky labels to label quilt blocks or units...they are easy to see, stay on while quilting, and come off easily -- even if I've ironed over them.

Marsh 08-10-2014 07:51 AM

Dina - this is beautiful. Love the colors and the borders look great. I'd go crazy working with this pattern. I'm still plugging along with my Bargello.

You are one savvy little quilter to have us look to make sure all is well BEFORE you start sewing. Looks great to me also, go for it.

Wanabee Quiltin 08-10-2014 11:51 AM

I made this quilt for my DD and I had to be careful. Used Eleanor Burns Lover Knot pattern and it went together really fast and easy. I used blue and yellow fabric.

Annaquilts 08-10-2014 12:20 PM

It looks good. what a nice pattern! Besure to post the finished quilt.

mojo11 08-10-2014 01:09 PM
