I never even heard of them!!! All I remember was when my Mom had an electric carving knife about a million years ago :D
I still have mine. Hubby got them for me for Christmas many, many years ago. Will not let go of them though, I think it is the sentimental feeling I have.
Never used them.

I have a pair of Black and Decker scissors a grandson gave me several years ago. Still in the ackaging. I am afraid to use them.
Had them years ago, hated them. grin donated them to Goodwill.

My son and husband bought me a pair of these things about 2 years ago. They are hanging on my peg board in the sewing room. I will gladly give them away. I think they are just awful for the same reasons already stated. A man must have invented these dreaded things.

Funny I too am cleaning my things out as I am setting up my room and came across a pair of these. Battery operated. They went in the pile of things to get rid of. LOL
I only use them to cut my batting.
yes I have a pair, but they stay in a drawer,The only thing I can think of that they would be good for is to keep as an antique for my great, great, greats. lol

I bought electric scissors from Sears many years ago and used them so much. I sewed drapes for Pennys and used them for cutting long seams. I dug them out and used them recently for cutting binding, I drew the line on the fabric and they worked great. I also have a battery operated one I use for clipping coupons out of the newspaper. I should use the electric scissors more, glad you reminded me.
I also have a cordless iron, sold by the West Bend Company years ago. I use it for pressing seams in quilting and keep it handy. Not available any more but mine still works for dry ironing, the steam part went kaput a long time ago. Carol J. |
